Site Maintenance

If you want people to return to your site, you've got to keep your content fresh. Updating your site on a regular basis will help keep your visitors coming back. Ways of doing this are adding news updates, listings of specials, articles and more.

If you are only needing a specific area of a page updated regularly or a couple of pages, there are scripts that can be installed to be used on those specific pages.

For a small consulting fee we will show you how to do minor updates yourself, such as changing dates, news, specials, etc. For more advanced updates or those needed on a daily basis, it might be better if your site was set up with a Content Management System.

If you don't have the time or the desire to update the site yourself, you can contact me regarding one of the maintenance contracts below.

My maintenance rates are very competitively priced at $50/hr for X/HTML/CSS coding and graphic work.
For scripting/programming (CGI, Perl, PHP), databases and ecommerce - $75/hr
(Please Note: All maintenance work is contracted on a prepaid basis.)

Plan 1:
Flat Retainer Fee - No monthly plan required. You pay in advance for a set number of hours and then work requests are then billed against that amount. Changes are billed by the minute with a 15 min. minimum for each change.
Work is completed within 7 working days of the request. You will get priority over other jobs in my schedule. (Does not include the creation of new pages, designing new graphics for use on the site, or search engine optimization/marketing. Those projects will need to be sent in as work order requests.)
Discounted hourly rates based on how many hours are pre-purchased. Save between $5-10/hr. off my regular rates.

Plan 2:
Monthly Maintenance - Purchase a set number of hours which will then be charged monthly on an automatic billing cycle. Changes are billed by the minute with a 15 min. minimum for each change.
Work is completed within 3 working days of the request. You will get Top Priority over other jobs in my schedule. (May include the creation of new pages, designing new graphics for use on the site, or search engine optimization/marketing. Depending on the scope of the request, those projects may need to be sent in as work order requests.)
Discounted hourly rates based on how many hours are pre-purchased. Save between $10-15/hr. off my regular rates.

Plan 3:
Work order requests - You send me a request of the work you'd like done. I'll send you an estimate and then you will pre-purchase the time blocks needed to cover the cost of the project. Time to complete the request may vary depending on my schedule.
